Chadwicks Group announces winners of the third annual Chadwicks Appreciation and Recognition Awards (CARAs)

 

The CARAs celebrate and recognise colleague excellence across Chadwicks Group nationwide

  • The third annual Chadwicks Appreciation and Recognition Awards were held to celebrate and thank colleagues from across the business
  • On the night 13 awards were given out celebrating colleagues, branches and departments from across the Chadwicks Group business
  • Chadwicks Letterkenny was named Branch of the Year, while Cork Builders Providers, Blackpool was named Destination Brand of the Year

14th February 2025: Chadwicks Group, Ireland’s leading builders’ merchants, announced the winners of its third annual Chadwicks Appreciation and Recognition Awards (CARAs).

The CARAs celebrate and recognise excellence across Chadwicks Group nationwide from best-in-class customer service to colleagues who are making a positive contribution to their local community.

In total 13 winners were announced at a ceremony at the Mansion House in Dublin on Friday, 14th February, with 350 Chadwicks Group colleagues attending to celebrate the achievements of colleagues, branches and departments across the country. Winners included Michael McManamon from Chadwicks Castlebar who was named Branch Manager of the Year. Michael, who joined the Chadwicks Castlebar team in August 2023 was selected as this year’s Branch Manager of the Year for being a supportive, approachable and focused team leader.

Cork Builders Providers Blackpool, Destination Brand of the Year, commended for their consistent hard work within the business for going out of their way to give local customers the best experience and service.

David Parsons National Transport & Logistics Manager at Chadwicks Group was named winner of the Leadership Award. David was recognised on the night for his outstanding contribution to the business last year. David played a major role in driving growth in many areas, including ensuring colleagues embraced ESG initiatives and delivered best-in-class service to customers. David also participated in several of the company’s community initiatives, which included volunteering on the Julian Benson Foundation’s construction of Tranquillity House, a ‘home away from home’ for patients of cystic fibrosis (CF) and their families, who are travelling to Dublin for hospital treatment and need somewhere to stay.

Commenting at the third annual CARAs, Patrick Atkinson, CEO of Chadwicks Group said:  

“The CARAs are an opportunity for us to celebrate our extraordinary colleagues and show appreciation for branches and departments’ hard work across our network. I continue to be inspired by everyone’s phenomenal efforts to provide excellent service to customers and communities and this year’s winners are a true example that the future of our business is bright’..”
