Home of Wexford GAA to remain Chadwicks Wexford Park
Chadwicks Group, Ireland’s leading builders’ merchants, has announced an extension of its agreement with Wexford GAA for the naming rights of Chadwicks Wexford Park.
The new four-year agreement will see Chadwicks Group invest €110,000 in the enhancement of Wexford GAA facilities and games development across the county.
Chadwicks has a long-standing presence in Wexford with branches in Wexford Town and Gorey serving the needs of local tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts. Chadwicks Gorey, which rebranded from Heiton Buckley Gorey in 2020, has been serving the needs of Wexford customers since 1996, while the Wexford Town branch has been in operation since 1979. Both branches feature bathroom and doors and floors showrooms, and tool and plumb centres, offering best-in-class products and materials to help tradespeople and DIYers get the job done.
Speaking about the announcement Patrick Atkinson, CEO of Chadwicks Group, said;
“It has been a pleasure to partner with Wexford GAA over the last four years, and we are delighted to announce that we are continuing this partnership until at least 2027. As strong believers in supporting the local community we are part of, we look forward to continuing our work with the GAA which also places community at the core of its organisation.
I am excited to see the successful partnership grow even further over the coming years, as we continue to make improvements to the infrastructure and provide an excellent experience for local GAA fans and players to enjoy.”
Micheál Martin, Chairperson of Wexford GAA commented;
“Wexford GAA is delighted to extend our longstanding partnership with Chadwicks Group. This commitment continues to allow us to deliver on our strategic goals in respect of player development to encourage participation and infrastructure improvements on a sound financial footing.
We’d like to thank Chadwicks Group for their ongoing support since 2019. Since then, our stadium has been transformed with an enhanced playing surface and the installation of new floodlights which have made a huge difference to the game experience for both players and supporters. We have recently launched phase two of our redevelopment which will enhance the dressing rooms, public seating areas and improve our wheelchair facilities. We look forward to continuing to welcome our supporters to Chadwicks Wexford Park for another four years.”
