Chadwicks, Ireland’s leading supplier of builders’ and plumbers’ material to both trade and DIY customers, today announced that Heiton Buckley Carlow in Kernanstown Industrial Estate has been rebranded to Chadwicks. As part of this rebrand, the branch has undergone a major refurbishment as well as a name change.
To mark the occasion branch manager Barry Cullen, officially cut the ribbon and opened the doors of the new branch alongside regional director Michael Kelly and branch colleagues.
Today’s announcement is part of an ongoing nationwide rebrand by Chadwicks Group which started last summer. Chadwicks Carlow is the fourth Heiton Buckley branch to have undergone a refresh so customers to the branch can benefit from having the best in building supplies, plumbing, DIY and Hire, through their own Sam Hire brand. New and existing customers can also find the latest trends in bathrooms, doors and floors.
The Carlow branch has a longstanding history in the area, having first appeared under the name R.N Gillespie on Tullow Street in 1949. During that time, it has contributed to several major projects in the area, supplying building materials and machinery. These projects have included MSD, a biologics operation which is a primary employer in the town. The new secondary school, Tyndall College, also received supplies from the branch and the Institute of Technology Carlow purchased building materials for its various extensions in recent years, including its world-class sports facility.
Although the branch is going through a number of changes, the same core team will remain headed up by branch manager Barry Cullen. Currently, the branch employs 16 highly trained specialists across a variety of product groups and many of the team have been with the company for over 20 years and have created longstanding relationships with both trade and consumer customers alike. The expert team receives regular training on all the latest product innovations in the construction sector to ensure its customers stay on top of the latest trends in the industry.
Commenting on the opening, Barry Cullen, Branch Manager, Chadwicks Carlow, said: “We are thrilled to officially unveil that Heiton Buckley Carlow is now Chadwicks Carlow. Our newly refurbished branch has been designed with our customers in mind and now stocks an even wider range of building materials and DIY suppliers. Visitors to the branch can expect an expanded product range coupled with our unrivalled expertise and product knowledge from our expert team. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our team here in Carlow as well as our valued customers for their continued support over the years.”
